About the role: Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a leading organisation to find a skilled Accountant for a 4-month temporary contract, located in Melbourne's West.
This role may present an exciting opportunity for the right individual to transition into a permanent position based on performance and fit.

Position Overview: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and Australian Accounting Standards.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to the accurate and timely management of the organisation's financial records.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee data input, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trust accounts.
Ensure accurate preparation and reconciliation of payments and receipts via electronic cash books.
Prepare and process monthly journal reports, ensuring timely financial reporting.
Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and resolve outstanding items.
Manage and submit BAS reporting.
Maintain and update the asset register, including depreciation calculations.
Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
Supervise daily financial operations, including overseeing trust accounts and special spend processes.
Key Requirements: Relevant accounting qualification with proven experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
Experience working with Excel and accounting software (experience with Infinium is a plus).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Additional Information: This role requires the ability to work within a secure environment.
Applicants must hold a current Australian driver's licence.
Successful candidates will need to pass a National Criminal History Check and obtain relevant security clearance.
