Full-time and fixed term until February 2025HEW 7 $97,940 - $107,842 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)The Job The Management Accountant supports and assists a designated finance team with a broad range of high-level and complex financial management, reporting and planning responsibilities. Specifically, the Accountant provides key staff with quality financial data, information, and analytics to support Faculty/Portfolio decision making, as well as assist as required in the completion of the annual budget and forecast submissions through the build-up of staff management plans, non-employment costs and other aspects of the financial statements and management accounting reports.
As an Accountant, you will: Deliver tailored finance business services including analysis, reporting and adviceUndertake financial planning and analysis, primarily the development of the annual budget and forecasts along with the completion of required financial statements, tables and supporting summariesMonitor, interpret and report on financial performance (including monthly reports, people management plan), identifying and analysing variances as well as the provision of recommendations to improve financial performanceFacilitate awareness, and ensure the implementation of, relevant university financial policies, procedures and guidelinesTo be successful, you'll have: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other similar discipline and extensive relevant work experienceCertified Practising Accountant or Chartered Accountant (or studying towards completion)Experience in financial management in a large complex environmentRelevant experience in the preparation and monitoring of complex budgets and performance reportsHere's how to apply: Please submit your updated resume and a short cover letter outlining your skills and experience.
