Reporting to the CEO, you will play a vital role in ensuring the organisation's financial processes run smoothly and effectively.This position offers an opportunity to engage in diverse accounting responsibilities, improve processes, and support the organisation's mission to provide exceptional care.Key Responsibilities:QFR Reporting, audits and credentialsOversee day-to-day accounting operationsMonth end process and reporting and reconciliationsPreparation of Financial Statements and reportingInternal and external audit processBudgeting and forecastingResponsible for precise reconciliation, month-end accruals, journal entry preparation, and ledger recordingSupport the annual audit process and ensure the organisation remains compliant with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsContribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processesManage audit and compliance and group reporting packagesMonitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends and variances with emphasis on capital expenditure, personnel costs and operating expense reviewTax compliancesOverseeing Payroll and the payroll team including reviewing processes for accuracy and complianceManage accounts payable and accounts receivable dutiesAssist with day-to-day operations of the finance departmentAssisting with other adhoc accounting tasks, as requiredAccounts Payable: Manage the full accounts payable function, including processing invoices, ensuring compliance with approvals, conducting payment runs, and responding to inquiries.Reconciliations: Perform resident, supplier, bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies.Accounts Receivable: Support the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, receipting payments, processing claims, and managing outstanding fees.Experience & Qualifications:Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
CPA or CA membership is desirable.Experience in Aged Care or Not For Profit will be highly regardedSkills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Experience: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and previous experience in accounts, reconciliations, and payroll support is essential.
