Aldesta Heron Island Pty Ltd is offering an exciting and rare opportunity for an Accountant to be part of our Resort team! This role is based on-site at Heron Island Resort.
Reporting to the General Manager & Financial Controller of HO, your role will include:
Weekly reporting of resort revenue and commentary Performing weekly bank account reconciliation Weekly processing of revenue journals and account reconciliation Month end responsibilities including balance sheet and collecting stock take Monthly BAS preparation for external accountant Maintaining accuracy of the general ledger Hands-on with reconciliations Cash Flow Forecasting An ability to adapt to change and learn new processes Manage general debtors' invoice, collection, and accounting Petty cash and credit card reconciliation Assisting with development and implementation of internal control procedures Other duties as required You will bring to the role:
Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance Studying towards CA/CPA/ACCA Clear and effective communication skills Able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels Able to clearly translate financial information to non-finance staff Mandarin speaking and writing highly advantageous Legal working permits including Australian residency status preferred This is a full-time live-on-island position. Working in a remote location is not for everyone, particularly if you are used to the fast pace of city life, so please think carefully about the reality of living remotely for an extended period.
