Aldesta Heron Island Pty Ltd is offering an exciting and rare opportunity for an Accountant to be part of our Resort team! This role is based on site at Heron Island Resort.
Reporting to the General Manager & Financial Controller of HO, your roll will include:
Weekly reporting of resort revenue and commentaryPerforming weekly bank account reconciliationWeekly processing of revenue journals and account reconciliationMonth end responsibilities including balance sheet, collecting stock takeMonthly BAS preparation for external accountantMaintaining accuracy of the general ledgerHands on with reconciliationsCash Flow ForecastingXero Suite experience highly desirableAn ability to adapt to change and learning new processesManage general debtors' invoice, collection and accountingPetty cash and credit card reconciliationAssisting with development and implementation of internal control procedures;Other duties as requiredYou will bring to the role:
Degree qualified in Accounting or FinanceStudying towards CA/CPA/ACCAClear and effective communications skillsAble to liaise with stakeholders at all levelsAble to clearly translate financial information to non-finance staffMandarin speaking and writing highly advantageousLegal working permits including Australian residency status preferred.This is a full-time live on island position. Working in a remote location is not for everyone, particularly if you are used to the fast pace of city life, so please think carefully about the reality of living remotely for an extended period time.
