We are seeking an Accountant who is a team player with a can-do attitude and an effective communicator to join our team.
About the role Reporting to one of the Business Services Partners in the firm, and working closely with our team of Chartered Accountants, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance documents for partner review.Data entry and reconciliations, produce standard letters and reports which are clear, concise and professionally presented.Prepares and regularly reviews workflow and turnaround time limits as a basis for meeting deadlines and budgets.Meets the required chargeable hours and billings as stipulated.Preparing trial balance, and reviewing all asset, liability, expense and income general ledger accounts.
Providing variance analysis and providing commentary on financial figures.Posting monthly journals for payroll, employee superannuation and PAYG withholding tax, salary sacrifice, commissions and employee termination payment.Provided services to clients such as preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS), STP Reports.Implementation and administering accounting information systems in accounting software Xero.About the applicant Bachelor's degree in business/accounting from a recognised University.At least three years of experience within a public accounting firm.Highly experienced in Xero.Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a team as well as individually.Proficiency in using Windows and Microsoft Office products.A sound knowledge of accounting and taxation principles.Type: Full-time, Permanent.
Salary: AUD 73,150 per year plus superannuation.
