Position: Accountant
Salary: $104,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours
Mode: Full time
Location: Level 1/55 Blackall St, Barton ACT 2600
Experience required: Minimum 2 years' experience in relevant roles


Tasks and responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Assist in the development and implementation of budgetary and accounting policies.
• Ensure financial reports comply with statutory and regulatory standards.
• Prepare accurate financial statements for management, boards of directors, shareholders, and statutory bodies.
• Conduct audits and financial investigations, preparing detailed reports.
• Manage cash flow with the company's operating costs.
• Provide assurance regarding the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Prepare Business Activity statement for the organization including PAYG, GST and other taxes
• Recommend and implement advanced accounting systems, including computer-based platforms.
• Maintain and improve internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with financial institutions to arrange and manage funds effectively.
• Monitor and refine accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay informed of industry trends and changes in financial regulations to adapt practices accordingly.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Other skills and requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in the relevant roles.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, auditing, and advisory roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and develop financial policies.
• Experience with taxation processes and compliance requirements.
