Be part of the growth of NSW largest Independent Professional Services firm's new Canberra office. Are you a highly motivated and skilled individual with comprehensive public practice experience? My client is seeking an Accountant to join their team and take on the responsibility of executing client assignments and projects to the highest standard while maintaining positive relationships with clients and fellow team members. Reporting to the Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of the newly established Canberra office of the largest independent professional services firm in regional New South Wales. You could be a part of their Canberra story Your new role Expectations of those joining the team include: Drive to contribute to the diverse Agribusiness sector, supporting clients to manage their business' effectively and profitably Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency in the completion of required responsibilities and support other team members through this technical knowledge Demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to attempt difficult tasks and sort out issues relevant to the task, fellow team members and/or clients Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Firms services, systems and processes, embrace and contribute to the great culture Display a high level of written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate using a variety of mediums Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills to relate to clients and colleagues Work well in a team environment with a willingness to lead, coach and support the team positively Display a level of organisational and planning skills that ensures efficient management of your workflow Undertake duties in a timely manner to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations Be proficient in the use of accounting related software packages and Microsoft Office applications Demonstrate a practical understanding of the basic business fundamentals that drive successful business success Demonstrate that you are a positive role model to others through the way that you conduct yourself in your day-to-day duties What you'll need to succeed You'll bring with you 2 years of comprehensive public practice experience, partnered with a passion for supporting clients in the diverse Agribusiness sector and the ability to: Prepare year-end financial statements and tax returns to the final draft stage for review Review monthly or quarterly management reports and assist with clients' cashbook queries Assist in preparing client cash-flow budget templates and tax plans for annual review Adhere to the Firm's Standards and Quality Control Manual in all tasks Act as a buddy for new team members and maintain strong organisational skills to efficiently manage the working day Be proactive in identifying client matters and issues, bringing them to the attention of the Manage What you'll get in return Competitive salary package commensurate with experience Exciting opportunity to work with an established and growing organisation Collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and professional growth Ongoing professional development What you need to do now I encourage you to call me on 02 6112 7619 to find out more about this unique opportunity, and how it could work for you.
