Company Description 1LM is a specialist finance/accounting firm located in Canberra, Australia. Our clients range from large Commonwealth Government departments and agencies to private sector and not-for profits. We work with CFOs and their teams on a variety of projects encompassing financial management, budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls and finance business partnering.
Role Description Our firm is growing and we are seeking candidates from graduate through to manager level to join the team. These are full-time roles for Accountants located in Canberra with a large proportion of work at client locations. You will use your financial management knowledge and skills to deliver professional services as part of wider 1LM client or project teams. The range of tasks that our team is called upon to complete is wide and includes collection and analysis of financial data, executing accounting tasks/processes production of financial reports/information, and providing advice to business stakeholders. We have a number of projects involving technical accounting/financial reporting, so let us know if you love AASB standards.

Qualifications Australian citizenship is a requirement of this work as well as currently holding or having the ability to obtain an AGSVA security clearanceMust possess or be pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldIntention to or working towards a higher qualification in accounting such as CA/CPA is highly desirablePractical experience commensurate with role (e.g. Manager level roles would expect a CA/CPA with 5-10+ years relevant experience) Previous experience in Big 4/mid tier professional services firms or working in Commonwealth agencies is desirableAbility to analyse and interpret a range of dataA team player with strong written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to serve our clients with distinctionAbility to prioritise and manage multiple demands effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Recent university graduates or those in their final semester are encouraged to apply for a graduate-level position.
