Apprise Consulting Pty Ltd on behalf of Metal Recovery Industries – Gracemere QLD
Our valued client Metal Recovery Industries based in Qld, is seeking an experienced Accountant (General) to join their friendly team of professionals.
The Company collects, salvages, and processes scrap metal goods for recycle and re-use in regional and remote areas in Central North Queensland, including mining sites.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Provide oversight of the overall finance function including taking responsibility for the general ledger and balance sheet reviewsProvide assistance and contribute in creating budgetary, accounting policies and forecasting activitiesPrepare financial statements, reports, and tax returns for internal and external customersPrepare management reports on a regular basis for presentation to boards of directors, management, and shareholdersReview operating costs, income, and expenditure ensuring it is within the company's budgetary plans and meansEnsure the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and its compliance with statutory requirementsPerform due diligence when advising on matters such as purchase and sale of business, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxationManage the day-to-day relationship with clients and liaising with team leaders and directors as and when requiredReconciling bank statements and general ledgersAssist with month-end and year-end close processesParticipate in the annual internal and external auditing processes to ensure that appropriate systems are in place and maintainedAd hoc finance administration projects as required by the Financial Controller or CFOTo be considered for this role you must have:
At least 5 years' work experience in the same fieldKnowledge in various accounting software is highly desirableIntermediate MS Excel skillsDemonstrated excellent organisational skillsStrong attention to detailsExcellent communication skillsExcellent reporting skillsSelf-motivated, highly organised, punctual and reliableAbility to adapt to a fast-paced work environmentCan work independently or as part of a teamGreat work ethicsIf you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, please apply now!
Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
