Accountant – Full-Time Position

We have a permanent vacancy for a detailed oriented, motivated and highly organised professional to fill the role of Accountant within our Finance Department.
Salary will be commensurate with experience for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintenance of the general ledger Maintenance of the fixed asset register Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for relevant stakeholders Preparation and delivery of month end reconciliations Preparation and delivery of monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as required Assist with payroll processing and/or reviews Assist with the preparation of year end financial statements including liaison with external auditors Internal budgeting preparation Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory obligations including but not limited to Develop, maintain and monitor compliance with Standard Operating Procedures Other business functions and duties as may reasonably be required About you: This is a hands-on role where you will have the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, be flexible and have an enthusiastic approach to tasks, must be able to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, accountancy or related discipline, including membership of CA or CPA Have an eye for detail and accuracy Ability to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge to ensure compliance with various regulations applicable to the business Ability to work within a team and liaise appropriately with both your direct manager and the executive team Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) Well developed communication skills, ability to express information, thoughts, and ideas in a clear and appropriate manner Established knowledge and skills using computer-based office systems, including Office 365 and spreadsheeting Experience with MYOB Acumatica or similar financial systems Demonstrated experience in accounting roles, either in a firm or in commerce Keeping it above board – Eligibility criteria To apply for this position, apply via SEEK.
