We have a permanent vacancy for a detailed oriented, motivated and highly organised professional to fill the role of Accountant within our Finance Department. Salary will be commensurate with experience for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintenance of the general ledgerMaintenance of the fixed asset registerPreparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports for relevant stakeholdersPreparation and delivery of month end reconciliationsPreparation and delivery of monthly reports and other ad hoc reports as requiredAssist with payroll processing and/or reviewsAssist with the preparation of year end financial statements including liaison with external auditorsInternal budgeting preparationEnsuring compliance with relevant statutory obligations including but not limited toDevelop, maintain and monitor compliance with Standard Operating ProceduresOther business functions and duties as may reasonably be requiredAbout you:This is a hands-on role where you will have the ability to work autonomously, take initiative, be flexible and have an enthusiastic approach to tasks, must be able to meet deadlines and manage competing prioritiesHold relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, accountancy or related discipline, including membership of CA or CPAHave an eye for detail and accuracyAbility to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge to ensure compliance with various regulations applicable to the businessAbility to work within a team and liaise appropriately with both your direct manager and the executive teamAbility to establish and build effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders (internal and external)Well developed communication skills, ability to express information, thoughts, and ideas in a clear and appropriate mannerEstablished knowledge and skills using computer-based office systems, including Office 365 and spreadsheetingExperience with MYOB Acumatica or similar financial systemsDemonstrated experience in accounting roles, either in a firm or in commerceKeeping it above board – Eligibility criteriaTo apply for this position, apply via SEEK.
