Job Description
The purpose of this role is to support the Australia Finance team by managing the Accounts Payable, Treasury, Banking and Cashflow management processes and supporting the team in delivering key quarter end Financial Planning and Analysis and Expense management deliverables.
The individual will collaborate internally across all onshore teams and externally with key vendors to ensure treasury and accounts payable processes are managed effectively.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the role description will include, but not limited to the duties listed in the Role Description.
Duties: Treasury Processing of weekly payments to meet invoice terms including staff reimbursements and intercompany transactionsCashflow forecasting and liquidity managementVendor system maintenance (PeopleSoft) and supplier relationship managementManagement and resolution of general Accounts Payable queriesLiaising with banking partner (ANZ) and maintaining banking systemPreparation and processing of internal bank transfers and reinsurance paymentsCorporate credit card expense and accounts managementMaintenance of internal controls surrounding payments and receipts Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Management of operating expense to support decision makingPreparation and posting of quarter end expense and accrual journalsAssist with annual budgeting processAssist with quarter end FP&A reporting deliverablesAssist with preparation of management packsProvide support to the FP&A team and related business partners as and when required General Provide support to the wider finance team and business by managing and participating in ad-hoc tasks and projects as and when requiredManage and maintain efficient processes to support systematic and organised audit trailsDrive continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Experience Essential Experience Degree in business or accountingProficiency in ExcelExcellent communication skillsAbility to think analytically and strong problem-solving ability Desirable Experience PeopleSoft experienceOnline banking experienceGeneral accounting knowledge including Accounts Payable, reconciliation skills and experience with journals Working For Pacific Life Re
