About the role As Accountant - Fleet at Mercurien Pty Ltd, you will have end to end responsibility for the company general ledger and accounts. This full-time position will see you responsible for a wide range of accounting and reporting duties.
What you'll be doing Maintain company accounts using xero accounting softwarePrepare and analyse monthly management reporting packagePayroll, accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank, loan and clearing accountsProcess daily bank feeds to xeroFixed asset register maintenanceIntercompany invoicing and reconciliationPrepare quarterly BAS returnsSupport the development and maintenance of budgets and cash forecastsEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policiesIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes and controlsProvide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requiredWhat we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Accounting or FinanceAt least 5 years' accounting experience preferably in a fleet or financial services industryStrong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting requirementsProficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools especially xero and excelExcellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesEffective communication skills to liaise with both financial and operational stakeholdersCurious mindset and proactive approach to identifying process improvementsWhat we offer Competitive remuneration package with regular salary reviewsOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesFlexible work arrangements including work-from-home optionsAbout us Mercurien Pty Ltd is a start up Australian company with a unique and comprehensive approach to fleet management built around the integration of services, technology and data analytics to protect people and assets in the mobile workspace.
