You'll be surrounded by highly motivated, high-achieving professionals who strive to have a transformational impact every day.Overview of the role:As a result of maternity leave, there is an opening for an Accountant to join our financial team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally commencing January/February 2025, with potential to extend. Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager who will offer expert support and guidance, this role will provide broad accounting support to the Australian office.Key responsibilities:Support day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.Perform checks to validate the authenticity and accuracy of all supplier and employee expenses.Send invoices directly to clients and respond to client queries in line with existing practices.Prepare weekly cash reports.Prepare weekly sales and working capital reports and assist with monthly management accounts.Prepare monthly interoffice recharges.Set up and train new employees on timesheet and expense systems.Maintain the Fixed Assets register.Quality assurance of time sheeting processes.Assist with Audit and tax compliance including GST and FBT lodgements.Assist with BAS returns and ABS surveys as required for all brands.Liaise with all areas of the business, both onshore and offshore, to ensure expenses are in line with policy and submitted on time.Attend to ad hoc queries as requested by the Finance Manager.Key competencies:Prior experience as an Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or Bookkeeper highly regarded, especially if coming from a small business or accounting firm.Excellent communication skills and an acute attention to detail are a must.Advanced skills in Excel essential, as is being quick to navigate systems to extract, sort, and present data.Fluency with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and Concur desirable.A team player with an ability to multi-task.Qualifications:CA/CPA desirable.Diversity and Inclusion at L.E.K.L.E.K.
