Our amazing client is one of the leading specialty coffee roasters in the country. They have a Cupping Room built to SCAA standards, specialise in both small batch and large scale roasting, practice ethical sourcing from origin, and as importantly, provide 1st class customer service and support.
We're searching for an Account Manager for the Canberra region.The Account Manager must be experienced in providing exceptional customer experience and is motivated to succeed and be part of a great company that values its team and clients. You will be part of an amazing existing ACT team.
The Role: If successful, your primary purpose is to grow customers' coffee sales through engagement, education and coffee training.
More specifically, your role will entail the following:
Help customers grow their sales by training them to make great coffees. Conduct barista and equipment training on site and in the Training Centre. Build genuine relationships with owners, managers and baristas. Check on and maintain espresso equipment and assets. Support your Territory Manager in acquiring new accounts via tastings, prospecting activities as required. Develop and update on a weekly basis your own 12-week visitation plan to maximise efficiency and time management. Complete internal general administration, information management and sales related documentation. Network in the local specialty coffee industry and support the Marketing teams with regular industry intel. Educate yourself on coffee, equipment, training, sales and account management. Complete any other duties as may be required from time to time. The Ideal Candidate: You will have demonstrated ability in the following criteria to be successful:
Must have coffee knowledge with a minimum of 2+ years experience as a Barista and/or cafe owner. Have people and relationship skills. Have advanced coffee training skills. Customer solutions focused. Personal Integrity. Be goal orientated and a high achiever. Have a positive outlook and attitude. Have a sense of urgency and follow through with what you promise. Be a team player, independent yet supportive. Be an industry professional. Be proactive in your approach to getting results. Be comfortable with working autonomously. Great communicator with ability to influence change. Passionate and driven to succeed. Have strong communication skills. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
