Boart Longyear is a world leading provider of drilling equipment and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally. Our range of highly productive drill rigs and percussive top hammer tooling is suited to a variety of applications including mining, mineral exploration, energy and environmental sampling.
Based in our Forrestfield office, this position will be responsible for predominantly servicing the Goldfields area. You will be required to visit our Kalgoorlie branch once a month and grow our market share in the region. This position will be involved in the promotion and development of new business and support of our Rock Tools product line for Western Australia. Reporting to the Regional Manager Percussive Australia, you will be changing the landscape in the Rock Tools market and actively hunting for any opportunities in your region. Along with this, you will build strong relationships within the Rock Tools market as well as manage RFQ & Tenders to grow Boart Longyear's market share in the percussive space. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Grow and develop new accounts in the underground market spaceBuild rapport with all mining houses and mining contractors at senior levelsProspect for new business in new and existing accountsEducate clients on Boart Longyear products and servicesTerritory planning, reporting and pipeline managementDrive sales growth and achieve sales revenue and profit targets in given market segmentsIdentify customer needs and provide an appropriate solution that best meets that needDevelop solid relationships and rapport with customers and internal stakeholders based on trust and mutual respectHelp identify and address customer issues by connecting them with the right resourcesMonthly visits operating out of the Kalgoorlie BranchA few other things we're looking for: Specific understanding, training or qualifications in the use of percussive drilling equipment and rock tools services – essentialStrong underground network & experience in the Rock Tools space – essentialExperience working in the Underground mining space, operations or drillingMinimum 5 years' experience in Business Development and or sales, preferably in a similar industrySales or general business management trainingSkills and networks to be able to present to mining boards or senior management groupsGood understanding of solution sellingProficient in MS Office suiteAbility to work well within a teamAbility to report and document on company CRMTo express your interest in this role, apply via the link.
