Located in Mackay, QLD About the role: As part of our Livestock team at Mackay, which is a large broad-based branch in a reliable rainfall coastal area, you will report to the Branch Manager and work alongside our senior livestock agents. In addition, you will:
Participate in sale yard auction activities and engage with customers to provide advice and support throughout the entire sales lifecycle for cattle.Using your understanding of livestock production, provide the highest level of customer service and support to increase sales.Develop knowledge of stock acquisition, reporting on livestock quality, condition, and yield expectations.Coordinate sales administration documentation, contracts, and price management.What we'll love about you: To be successful, you will have a passion for the agriculture/farming sector and some exposure to working with livestock. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative and the ability to develop positive relationships with customers. A driver's license is required, as the role requires some travel, and flexibility is needed as hours are varied and involve early starts. We will provide training and support that will allow you to develop a solid career in livestock sales.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a medical as manual handling forms a part of this position, as well as complete our standard background checks.
