Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated and results driven Account Manager to join our team in Brisbane.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining major accounts and to prospect and secure new business in North Queensland.
This role will be covering North Queensland region (Townsville to Cairns).
There will also be regional travel which would require up to one week away per month.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Building and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with key accounts to achieve growth and optimize promotional activities.
Developing and implementing strategic plans for the acquisition of new business
Achieving monthly sales targets in all categories
Monitoring and maintaining existing customers and increasing Valvoline's product range of lubricants and car care
Liaising with supply chain on product forecasting and trends with view to seamless product supply to designated market segments within in your Distributors and Re sellers.
Territory analysis of accounts for gross profit, client usage, follow ups with amortized accounts
On-going development of sales skills, product knowledge, customer service and teamwork
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Reviewing, analysing, and discussing monthly reports with the Regional Manager
To be successful, you will have:
Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
Experience in Lubricants or Industrial sector is an advantage but not essential
Proven track record of sales success and business development
Excellent business acumen and attention to detail
Great communication and organisation skills
Ability to function constructively within a team environment, as well as work autonomously.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
A valid driver's licence
