The Opportunity
BlueScope Distribution is looking for an Account Manager to join the sales based in Townsville. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.
In this customer-facing opportunity, you will build strong partnering relationships with our valued customers. With your sales aptitude and exceptional customer relationship skills, you will play a key role in servicing and developing your client portfolio to achieve profitable growth of revenue, margin and market share for the business.

What Will You Do?
As part of the Townsville team, you will:
continue to build strong partnerships with our existing customers and identify service improvement and growth opportunities
develop and execute targeted call cycles and account strategies aligned to business objectives, individual customer requirements and market conditions
work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to resolve customer queries and deliver an exceptional service level
ensure effective price management for accounts
More About You
Along with your ability to build sustainable relationships with customers and internal teams, you will bring:
account management experience within a business-to-business environment
an ability to understand customer requirements and create attractive product and service solutions
demonstrated aptitude to monitor customer and market conditions and address any opportunities
competency in using CRM or similar computer systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
