We are currently offering a great opportunity for a driven Agronomist to join our team.
The focus of your role will be to develop strong customer relationships in this major agricultural region in Tasmania.
About the opportunity: You will work closely with our key clients in the region to provide superior agronomic advice and inputs with a focus on horticulture agronomy and crop monitoring.
You will share information with producers related to environmental and seasonal conditions affecting crop production, perform soil testing, and study other factors affecting production in order to provide sound fertiliser, nutrient, and soil recommendations to improve quality and yield.
In addition, you will conduct field demonstrations and trial work for product development in conjunction with key suppliers.
You will also work collaboratively with branch staff to drive promotions, merchandising, and sales performance.
Your success in this role will be measured by: The positive relationships you develop with our key customers and growers Your success providing recommendations to improve crop production, resilience, and sustainability The positive contribution you make to the achievement of business goals Your support of the Nutrien Ag Solutions culture and values About You: To be successful, you will have a passion for Australian agriculture, demonstrating a solid understanding of products and production systems ideally with some exposure to horticulture/broadacre cropping.
In addition, you will demonstrate the following: Strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application A minimum of 2 - 3 years building enduring and successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and services.
History of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products applicable to those crops grown in the central highlands.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
A driver's licence; a forklift licence would be advantageous.
