We are looking for an Account Executive, State Public Sector to work predominantly with our existing customer base. You will be in charge of driving revenue growth in major accounts, establishing relationships and providing direct touch across all levels of the end customer whilst also engaging with the top regional partners. Your ability to scale existing accounts (rather than net new) is essential to your success in this role. Cross-functional teams from Appian Marketing, Business Development, Customer Success, and Solutions Consulting functions provide support and tools for you to use to attain and exceed sales performance goals.
To be successful in this role, you need: Experience navigating a complex sales cycle from start to finish, leveraging internal resources within the larger sales organization, cross-functionally with the customer success team and externally across customer and partner ecosystems.Strong presentation skills for delivering in-person and virtual presentations to LOB & IT audiences, highlighting your ability to perform client discovery, communicate ROI, and build business value.An in-depth understanding of Australian State Government and its buying behaviors.To be a trusted advisor to both customers and colleagues to leverage multiple stakeholders throughout complex deals.To actively seek to understand industry trends to help position against competitors.Basic Qualifications: Significant direct selling experience & demonstrable experience as an Enterprise Account Executive, selling complex technologies at the enterprise level to major public sector customers.History of consistent quota achievement.Examples of expanding relationships and revenue across major customers.Strong job tenure: history of displaying loyalty and perseverance through long, stable job tenure and positive career trajectory.Appian Employee Benefits Include: Stock optionsHealth insuranceTuition reimbursementWellness reimbursementEnhanced parental leaveA range of family planning servicesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
