We are based in Perth, Australia, and are seeking our first U.S. Account Executive to establish and grow our presence in this market.
As the inaugural U.S. sales hire, you will play a pivotal role in building relationships with key stakeholders, driving revenue, and expanding our innovative solutions into a new region.
In this role, you will take ownership of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working closely with global leadership to define and execute strategies that meet and exceed growth targets.
You'll represent our cutting-edge offerings to clients, fostering trust and ensuring long-term success in this exciting and high-impact position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Market Development: Identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective clients across the U.S. market, positioning our solutions as the preferred choice.Sales Cycle Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and professional client experience.Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish partnerships that drive revenue growth and market penetration.Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based clients, fostering trust and ensuring customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals.Market Insights: Gather and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor insights to inform sales strategies and positioning.Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with the Perth-based leadership and support teams to align U.S. sales efforts with our global vision and objectives.Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales data, pipelines, and forecasts to inform leadership and support strategic decision-making.Contract Facilitation: Assist in contract discussions and compliance review, addressing initial questions on SaaS agreements and working with our legal team as necessary.Demo & Technical Coordination: Conduct basic product demos, with the ability to coordinate in-depth technical demos with our support team when needed.Brand Ambassador: Represent Facilitate at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads.Qualifications and Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology solutions.
Experience selling into enterprise level accounts with complex sales cycles.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.Market Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. business culture and market dynamics.
Knowledge of the energy or healthcare markets in the U.S. is highly advantageous.
Experience in developing sales strategies for new markets is a plus.Technical Skills: Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to work independently as the sole U.S. sales representative while staying aligned with global leadership.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building processes from scratch.Relationship Building: Strong networking skills to connect with decision-makers and build long-term partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to sell to mid-to-senior-level executives.Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.Flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically (50%-70%) as needed to meet clients and attend events.
