Key ResponsibilitiesClient Partnerships Lead the development of strong, sustainable working partnerships with multiple clients (generally 3 key clients, depending on size).Establish working partnership across all levels of the client (notably senior players).Build a solid understanding/appreciation of their business objectives and how communications contributes to these.Create and oversee the implementation of high quality, effective, innovative and measurable communication campaigns – including product launches, awareness initiatives, digital campaigns, major events, national media outreach, educational initiatives, crisis and issues management.Ensure superior client service is embedded consistently across all client work.Define and set clear project/campaign expectations together with scope of work.Secure superior outcomes and positive client reviews with initiatives/activities.Maintain clear and consistent communication between client and account team.Partner with client and marketing suppliers such as advertising agencies to deliver optimal client outcomes.Identify and pre-empt client concerns presenting considered, effective solutions.Forge relationships that secure 'unpitched' campaigns together with positive recommendations within the network.Ensure all client policies and procedures are adhered to by all team members/reports, including all of companies SOPs, notably Adverse Event Reporting.Participate in any necessary training of SOPs, both for clients and company, and ensure team/report also fulfil any training requirements.Business Development Identify current and future opportunities for growth within existing client and work to convert to new business.Lead successful new business pitches/strategic program development.Support the team in the creation and implementation of business development plans that extend companies offering in a profitable and sustainable manner.Support the identification and implementation of new 'growth' strategies/concepts that ensure company is recognised as an innovative/differentiated company.Additionally play a critical role contributing to and supporting other business development/pitching initiatives within company.Raise companies' profile among relevant organisations and appropriate networks.Identify and build a local/broader supportive network with complementary skills and knowledge to assist in the development and maintenance of the ethical offering.Lead the financial management of client campaigns/initiatives – in an organised, timely and profitable manner.Build well planned, profitable client budgets and billing schedules for campaigns/initiatives using the relevant company financial tools.Ensure initiatives/projects are implemented effectively within agreed budgets. Flag any additional or unexpected costs promptly to clients for assessment/consideration.Ensure all invoices are generated correctly and provided promptly to clients within the companies billing schedule for prompt payment within 30 days.Effectively forecast income and manage capacity of reports to ensure they are working in the most productive and efficient manner for the client.As a senior team member – work to instil a collegial and 'team' environment across the business.Manage the development and retention key team reports (Account Manager, Account Executive, Trainee Account Executive or intern).Facilitate and lead regular performance reviews of direct report and provide ongoing coaching/feedback to build skill levels to meet developmental needs.Assist in the identification and successful recruitment of new team players.Leadership Be clearly recognised as a senior authority within the business – internally and externally.Provide a fair, honest and firm manner with all team interactions. Set a high, professional standard for all team and client communications.Actively participate in senior team meetings, team WIPs together with strategy planning/developmental sessions for the business.Maintain regular updates/information for team on progress and success of clients/overall business.Work proactively to identify and lead innovative/advanced initiatives for the company that will reinforce the brands superior positioning.Actively lead and manage complex issues – counsel on management strategies, development of materials on complex issues (e.g. key messages, Q&As, reactive position statements), management of implementation.QualificationsSix + years' experience gained primarily through consultancy.Excellent knowledge and experience of public relations and client service.Established experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.Conversant with industry regulations including the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, the Australian Self Medication Industry Code of Practice and the Therapeutic Goods Administration Advertising Code.Ability to handle all high-end media relations.Strong initiative/proactivity in work style/client service Account Director.Solid experience in digital communications/initiatives.Ability to generate ideas and think creatively.Ability to manage and supervise Account Manager, Account Executive.Track record in coaching and developing team members.Strong financial and budget management skills.If you are interested and would like to hear more about this position, please email on ****** for more information.
