Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.
The Account Director, Federal Government is responsible for revenue growth in one of Genesys' most successful verticals. You will be working with some of our most important customers who provide critical services to the Australian community and rely on Genesys as a key partner to do so.
You will have a history of success in Federal Government and ideally have built a trusted network with the Australian Federal Government.
This role opens up opportunities for applicants based in Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.
The Genesys Account Director for Federal Government is expected to maintain and develop a range of existing customer relationships with a keen focus on building Genesys' annual revenue from Federal Government. You will be supported by a large team of experts and colleagues. Genesys has built an enviable position of leadership across the Public Sector. It is imperative to Genesys that this is maintained and enhanced.
A key requirement of this role is working with new customers and existing customers using a value-based selling approach. This will require consultative engagement with our customers to identify and quantify opportunities for business improvement leveraging Genesys' extensive suite of AI-powered solutions. This is an important strategic focus for the company.

What You'll Do:The primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to): Executing and contributing to the go-to-market strategy for Federal Government.Responsible for driving and delivering sales and growth within the vertical through subject matter expertise alongside Genesys stakeholders and our partner ecosystem.Establishing and building strong peer relationships within Public Sector, including customers, consultants, alliances, and partners.Working under a POD-based team structure within Genesys with strong collaboration skills across product, customer service, marketing, and operations.Exhibit the use of 'value' and 'insight-based' selling techniques that result in a tangible return on investment for the solution provided.Growing and retaining existing customer accounts by presenting new solutions and services around Cloud CX, digital, AI and professional services propositions.Provide input and review sales pipelines within the POD, to ensure a consolidated and accurate forecast on a weekly and monthly basis.Support the development of account and industry plans as required for nominated customers.Orchestrate cross-functional resources and teams to build solutions and proposals that create value for the customer, our partners, and Genesys.Accurate and timely forecasting of opportunities in Salesforce.Key skills and knowledge:Business DevelopmentSales – demonstrable track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targetsSenior Stakeholder EngagementForecast managementCross-team collaborationExperience of successful sales into Federal GovernmentYou've been there and done this:Proven experience communicating, negotiating, and closing with executives, stakeholders, and key influencers.Proven experience understanding customer needs and being able to articulate solutions.10+ years of sales experience (Cloud or SaaS-based software sales preferred) and 5+ years in the Federal Government vertical.Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles, with a track record of successful revenue attainment.BS or BA degree or equivalent work-related work experience.Assertive, strong organizational skills and a self-starter.Travels to customer and business meeting sites as required.A demonstrated track record of meeting commercial sales targets.Please note that Genesys will not accept resumes from agencies at this time.
