Job Description Are you passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences? Do you excel in a fast-paced environment and know how to drive results? Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our service team, optimise operations, and elevate our Guests' dining experiences across our Award-Winning Restaurant, Bar/Café, and Room Service operations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service aligned with business demand. Set, implement, and maintain high service standards, driving quality and a consistent guest experience. Identify revenue opportunities, manage costs effectively, and optimise workplace efficiency through roster management and inventory control. Lead and develop your team through targeted training, performance evaluations, and mentorship, fostering a culture of excellence. Conduct training, performance evaluations, and counselling of staff. Recruit team members who align with our standards and values, ensuring a high level of guest engagement and satisfaction. Review guest feedback regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments. Utilise and maintain operational systems, including Micros and PP+, to streamline service and enhance controls. Ensure WH&S and sustainability commitments are upheld within the department. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in leading and managing a successful team in a high-volume restaurant. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment. Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to think creatively. Strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills. Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail. Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate & valid right to work in Australia.
