Job Description
General Manager - Food and Beverage Venues
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the ARC restaurant and In Room Dining outlets at the Fairmont Waterfront.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue, upholding Forbes and LQA standards, fostering a luxury service culture.
As General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the hotel's Venues by overseeing day-to-day operations, developing training programs on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the overall growth of the establishment.
What you will be doing:
Team Leadership and Development:
Work in partnership with ARC Restaurant Chef to execute flawless operation Recruit, train, and mentor, ensuring a positive and motivating work environment, ensuring a guest-centric mindset Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback Empower and support colleagues to resolve guest issues promptly Revenue Generation:
Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability, while collaborating with the marketing team to create promotions and social events Ensure forecasting accuracy and strategies to strive to achieve financial budget, analyze reports, find growth areas, optimize sales Implement effective cost control measures of all food, beverage, labor and operating expenses Forbes and Leading Quality Assurance Standards:
Uphold the highest standards of excellence, as set by Forbes and LQA Sustainability, Health, and Safety Compliance:
Actively participate in the Fairmont Sustainability Program, Food Safety Committee and determine department-specific action items Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff implementing best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel setting Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Proven track record in driving revenue and achieving financial targets Strong understanding of Forbes and LQA standards and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards in all aspects of the restaurant's operation Ability to work effectively with programs including Microsoft Office, Open Table, Opera and Silverware Adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution Knowledge of the local culinary scene and trends Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred Additional Information
