Purpose As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Peppers Gallery Canberra. With your strong local market expertise, you'll develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth, enhance brand visibility, and optimise the hotel's overall performance. Primary Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the General Manager, playing a key role in the change management process throughout the hotel's transformation, ensuring a smooth transition during the refurbishment in early 2025. Develop and implement innovative sales strategies, driving both revenue growth and market penetration. Reposition the property within the marketplace, to attract new and returning clientele. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment in marketing, guest experiences, and brand standards. Inspire and lead the team, fostering a high-performance culture that supports the hotel's new vision. Skills and Experience Proven experience in leading sales strategy during significant hotel transformations or rebranding. Expertise in change management, guiding teams through large-scale renovations or brand shifts. Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry & local market, including trends, competitive positioning, and guest satisfaction drivers. Proven track record in driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and initiatives. Exceptional negotiation skills to secure profitable deals and partnerships. A knack for boosting conversion rates, translating leads into successful bookings and maximising sales opportunities.
