We require an experienced accommodation manager to take full responsibility of the day to day running of our boutique backpackers hostel.
We require the following qualifications/experience:
Minimum 1-2 years management experience in the accommodation industry with backpacker accommodation viewed most favourably. The position requires the successful applicant to organise rosters and liaise with staff in this regard. Strong organisational skills are essential and the ability to create and provide weekly financial reports to the owners is a requirement. Proven conflict resolution skills are essential. Basic handyman experience is preferred. Previous experience with the reservation system Cloudbeds is a distinct advantage. Experience in social media content creation is essential. Ability to handle stocktake and supply ordering as well as creating systems for ongoing inventory control is required. The ability to speak English fluently is essential. An applicant with fluent French or Spanish would be viewed favourably. Specifically, the position entails:
Front desk reception - checking guests in and out, answering questions and providing assistance. Selling local tours - both land and sea based. Overseeing all casual staff including housekeeping staff. Basic maintenance (training will be provided). Purchasing and stock control. Social media content creation. Providing weekly reports to the owners. Ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and conflict resolution. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
