Job Description
ACCIONA is a leader in sustainable infrastructure, providing innovative solutions to support the transition to renewable energy.
Our Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) division delivers high-impact transmission line projects across Australia, expanding our capabilities in line with recent tender successes.
We seek an experienced Transmission Line Electrical Designer with a strong electrical engineering background to contribute to our high-voltage transmission projects.

Role Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design and planning for high-voltage transmission lines, working on new tenders and ongoing projects.
You will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe transmission line designs.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team working on pivotal energy infrastructure projects in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical design aspects for transmission lines ranging from 66 kV to 500 kV, focusing on achieving high standards of reliability and safety.
Provide technical input for concept designs, feasibility studies, and route planning to support project requirements.
Perform electrical calculations and simulations, including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and grounding design.
Support tendering processes by providing optimized electrical designs that align with ACCIONA's strategic goals and client requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (structural, civil, environmental) to ensure all design elements align with project objectives.
Conduct technical reviews, prepare design documentation, and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Utilize industry-standard software for electrical modeling and analysis.
Provide on-site technical support during the implementation phase to address any design-related challenges.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; master's degree is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage transmission line design.
Proficiency in transmission line electrical modeling software such as PLS-CADD, PSS/E, Power Factory, or ETAP.
Solid understanding of Australian standards and regulatory requirements for high-voltage transmission lines.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or on track to obtain chartered status.
