The Project The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works include the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key Accountabilities for the Position Plans, undertakes and/or coordinates internal and external audits including those on consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Reviews collated relevant performance criteria and report statistical results monthly or as directed. Leads audits of suppliers and subcontractors in the field to improve and maintain a heightened level of quality. Guides Project Managers and Field Supervisors with their responsibilities regarding Quality. Acquires and disseminates or displays quality information. Creates and/or issues Inspection and Test Plans, verification checklists, work method statements, plans, drawing etc., to relevant Project personnel. Reviews consultant, subcontractor, and suppliers' documentation for conformance to and consistency with the Project quality reporting and/or record requirements. Manages quality non-conformance and the RFI system and analyzes trends. Maintains a Project library of relevant legislation, Standards, Codes, and related publications either in hard copy or soft copy access and makes available to relevant personnel on an as-needed basis. Reviews project Construction method statements, inspection and test plans and checklist against the project requirements. Reviews reports of lot management and nonconformities before issuing to the Construction Teams. Required Skills and Competencies Knowledgeable of quality documentation, systems and processes & able to advise site crews on quality standards with a collaborative approach. Advanced communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships. Planning and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail.
