We are looking for a skilled Lead Technician to oversee the technical operations at Aldoga Solar Farm, providing leadership, ensuring safety, and managing site maintenance while supporting the Site Manager and developing a strong, safety-focused team.
Job Description
Lead and manage the site technical team, ensuring a focus on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Oversee contractors, ensuring they perform quality work in compliance with safety standards. Perform HV switching and maneuvers within the substation and across the facility. Support the Site Manager in planning, reporting, and achieving annual site KPIs. Conduct hazard identification and manage risks through proactive safety measures. Provide training and guidance to technicians to ensure safe, effective operations and compliance with standards. Required Skills and Competencies
High school education or equivalent, with a technical qualification; degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience post-trade as a technical supervisor or similar role. Prior people leadership experience and ability to manage teams. High Voltage training certification and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work in extreme outdoor conditions and a valid driver's license. Experience with systems such as Maximo, Enablon, SGA/WMS, and in supervising external service providers. In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW). Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.
