Your primary responsibility is to support customers with accessibility needs and provide advice on infrastructure, train and coach services to ensure they are safe and accessible for everyone across Victoria.In this role, you will manage a team of two and oversee V/Line's customer and community engagement efforts related to disability access. This includes developing and implementing communication and engagement activities to address the issues that affect customers, the community, and V/Line's operations.Key Accountabilities include:Manage DDA (Disability Discrimination Act 1992) Issues: Oversee and facilitate issues related to the DDA, ensuring continuous accessibility improvements.External Representation: Represent V/Line at disability and accessibility meetings, working parties, and forums.Stakeholder Management: Handle relationships with disability and accessibility organizations and advocacy groups.Community Engagement: Implement and integrate partnership and community engagement outcomes.Issue Analysis: Identify and analyse disability access issues, patterns, and trends, and work on solutions.Advisory Role: Provide advice on legislative and compliance requirements related to disability access.Engagement Programs: Develop and manage community and staff engagement programs.Accessibility Action Plan: Coordinate the development, measurement, and management of initiatives.Reporting: Handle reporting requirements under the Services Agreement and DSAPT exemption.Business Planning: Contribute to business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.About youYou will be passionate about accessibility and be able to strategically think and plan through a disability lens. You are skilled in project management, problem-solving, and strategic planning, with a passion for promoting accessibility and inclusivity.
