About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Access Coordinator or a qualified Electrician looking for an opportunity to be trained as a Transmission and Distribution Operator from our Bendigo depot. The position is required to effectively manage network access and outages through the preparation of appropriate paperwork to the network authority in order to enable a safe and effective field workforce.
Key Responsibilities include
Prepare applications for network outages including but not limited to; work clearance applications, application writing, switching instructions, system outage requests, and vicinity access applications. Effectively operate on transmission & sub-transmission apparatus. Identify areas of continuous improvement to help provide a more cost-effective and higher quality product to both internal and external clients. Ensure the implementation of the agreed quality control measures and provide high-level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and implementing plans as required. Visit sites as required to assess the safest and most efficient delivery methodology, identify risks, and prepare mitigation strategies. Manage customer expectations and the needs of the business. About You
The successful candidate is required to display a positive customer and team focus, work effectively, participate in identifying workplace change or productivity improvements, while maintaining a high level of health and safety.
Extensive working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work, and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks. Experience in the preparation and lodgement of switching instructions. An understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks and VESI requirements and HSEQ issues as they relate to electrical operations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Flexibility to work after hours as required. Trade Qualification/Cert III Power and current Australian driver's licence.
