We are seeking an experienced Access Coordinator (HV Switching Operator) to manage network access, outages, and paperwork for safe, effective field operations in Victoria's Northwest.
About the role
The position is required to effectively manage network access and outages through preparation of appropriate paperwork to the network authority in order to enable safe and effective field workforce.
Key Responsibilities include
Prepare applications for network outages including but not limited to; work clearance applications, application writing, switching instructions, system outage requests and vicinity access applications
Effectively operate on transmission &/ sub-transmission apparatus
Identify areas of continuous improvements to help provide a more cost effect and higher quality product to both internal and external clients
Ensure the implementation of the agreed quality control measures and provide high level advice and support to team members in undertaking tasks and implementing plans as required
Visit sites as required to assess most safe and efficient delivery methodology, identify risks and prepare mitigation strategies
Manage customer expectations and the needs of the business
About You
The successful candidate will require extensive working knowledge of construction, maintenance, planning/scheduling work and operational techniques and standards as applied to electrical networks and experience in the preparation and lodgement of switching instructions.
Display a positive customer and team focus, work effectively, participate in identifying workplace change or productivity improvements, while maintaining a high level of health and safety.
Trade Qualification (Cert III Power/Cert III Electrotechnology), VESI accredited, up to date ESI Worker, and current Australian driver's licence
An understanding of Victorian Electrical Distribution, Transmission and Sub Transmission Networks and VESI requirements and HSEQ issues as they relate to electrical operations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Flexibility to work after hours as required
