Purpose of the positionMake a significant impact in the teaching, administration, and comprehensive end-to-end delivery of VU Online Business courses.Lead the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning in VU Online Business courses, fostering a dynamic, collaborative, and well-organised environment that provides exceptional online education to students.Collaborate with the VU Online team to deliver a best-in-class online student experience by embracing interactive, experiential, and student-centered learning approaches while continuously driving innovative online teaching and learning initiatives.About youYou are a high-performing academic in business with a strong background in teaching administration and the end-to-end delivery of online higher education courses. You excel at creating engaging learning experiences and are passionate about driving student success through innovative and effective teaching practices.
Selection criteriaA doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant business discipline.Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/ Education.Proven track record of innovative teaching in business, with a strong understanding of adult learning theories, heutagogy, and best practices in online delivery.Experience in teaching administration and the end-to-end delivery of online higher education courses in business.Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating, and managing a team of online academic staff (e.g. as Course Chair) in the delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate business courses.Proven ability to lead and implement course improvements.Understanding of internal and external accreditation processes in higher education.Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively consult, network, and build relationships with internal university stakeholders and external partners.A strong passion for teaching and a commitment to continuous improvement and development.To apply:Submit your updated CV, and a cover letter that addresses the selection criteria (maximum of 2 pages) by 11th October 2024.
