Chief Financial Officer
to play a pivotal role in supporting its next phase of growth and excellence. This is a full time, Perth based role, with occasional site visits, as well as promoting the business domestically. Abra is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects, targeting production 90 – 100ktpa lead and 600 – 800kozs silver per year.
The Abra Mineral Resource consists of multiple mineralised zones predominately consisting of an upper over-laying sediment bound Apron zone that sits above an underlying hydrothermal feeder system called the Core zone. The most recent LOM reserve based on the MRE2023 contains 16.3Mt @ 6.9% Pb indicating a mine life of 10+ years.
The Abra Mine construction and commissioning was completed in late 2022 and production ramp up took place during 2023, the mine has now reached steady state production volumes.
The underground ore mined is processed through a flotation processing plant, to produce a high-grade lead-silver concentrate that is trucked to port before being exported to off takers in Japan, Korea, Australia and China.
THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CEO, as
Chief Financial Officer
you will provide strategic direction and leadership across Abra's commercial, financial, legal and investor relations divisions. The role combines hands on visible leadership with high-level strategic planning, ensuring financial and legislative compliance and enabling the organisation to thrive.
The key responsibilities for the Chief Financial Officer will include:
Corporate Financing and Funding: Lead negotiations for off-take agreements, debt structuring, and equity raises to secure required capital for mine expansion and future growth
Investor Relations: Manage investor relations, building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential investors. Ensure clear and transparent communication to maintain investor confidence and showcase the company as a prime investment opportunity
Mergers & Acquisitions: Take an active role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic M&A opportunities, enhancing the company's portfolio and potentially expanding beyond lead/silver-focused projects
Team Management: Oversee the finance and commercial team, enhancing staff engagement by creating a supportive work environment, promoting open communication, and implementing initiatives to boost morale, performance, and employee development.
Continuous improvement of Financial and Operational Systems, ensuring the integrity of comprehensive financial, costing, and commercial systems to support the company's growth and long-term success
Collaboration with site and head office executive team and JV partners to assist with defining and executing the company's long-term strategy and growth plans
In addition, the CFO will be responsible for:
Liaising with all stakeholders to develop and achieve LOM plans, annual budgets & quarterly forecasts
Actively promoting safety and well-being, demonstrating a personal commitment through visible leadership to a values driven organisation
Ensuring all financial statutory reporting requirements set out in the Corporations Act and ASX listing rules are met to ensure full compliance with both income and indirect taxes (ie GST).

ABOUT YOU
Abra is searching for a candidate with a strategic focus and exceptional leadership skills. We additionally require the successful candidate to have:
10 years experience in senior financial roles within the mining industry, with a strong understanding of corporate financing, project development, and operational systems
Demonstrated expertise in leading complex financial negotiations, investor relations, and M&A activities. Strong leadership skills to manage and develop cross-functional teams
A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and drive the company through a critical phase of transition and growth
Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and to inspire and align teams with organisational goals and objectives
Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a related field
A focus on continuous improvement being results-driven and performance-oriented
