Salary: $100,011 up to $109,194pa plus Superannuation and Leave Loading
This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Your role The Aboriginal Youth Justice Caseworker will support Youth Justice to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Working at a Dubbo Community Office, you will provide front line services to young people.
What you'll do Provide a range of externally and internally sourced services to detainees, youth justice conferencing clients, victims of crime, and court mandated youth and their family members. Work as part of a team to reduce re-offending of young people by enhancing the youth's functioning to support reintegration into their family and community. What we're looking for Capability to provide front line services to young people by developing and maintaining relationships with the Aboriginal community. Ability to work collaboratively with other Caseworkers, Youth Officers, Psychologists, and stakeholders and undertake case management activities for young people, connecting them to appropriate services. Using structured screening and assessment tools to identify risks and needs of young people determining intervention programs required while monitoring outcomes and case plans for compliance. Provide young people and their families with the tools and information to create and support positive changes utilising technology and information systems. Contribute to behaviour management of young people adapting to changes while complying with policy, procedures, standards and best practice guidelines. As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons, Australia's First Nations people.
