Develop and implement a pilot community plan to enhance training pathways within the Katherine region
About the Position
As the Aboriginal Workforce Development Officer , you will be responsible for developing and implementing a pilot community plan aimed at enhancing training pathways within the region.
You will focus on establishing community Vocational Education and Training (VET) projects, identifying Literacy, Language, and Numeracy (LLN) needs, and pre-employment training requirements; playing a crucial role in contributing to achieving sustainable employment outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Extensive experience in workforce development, particularly within Aboriginal communities.
Proven track record in managing and expanding training and employment projects.
Deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and the ability to work effectively in a culturally sensitive manner.
Advanced project management skills with demonstrated success in initiating, managing, and evaluating projects.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct ongoing needs assessments and program evaluations.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 7/8.
The base salary will be in the range of $93,475 to $118,578 per annum.
The total remuneration package will be in the range of $109,365 to $138,736 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
