This position qualifies for a Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (pro-rata part-time/temporary positions less than 18 months), and a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (pro-rata part time), under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.Packages may consist of family and compassionate travel assistance, an upfront Rural Recruitment Cash Bonus upon appointment, contributions to professional development, utility reimbursements and study assistance, in addition to relocation benefits and accommodation assistance.To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).For more information, please discuss incentive options with the contact person for this role.

What you'll be doing Provide safe, comfortable transport for Aboriginal clients requiring transfer to Health Care facilities or destinations within and external to the District. About Balranald Balranald is a beautiful rural town on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Balranald Shire is also home to the spectacular Yanga National Park and World heritage listed Mungo National Park, rich in Aboriginal history. Surrounded by five of NSW's most iconic rivers (the Murray, Lachlan, Wakool, Edward & Murrumbidgee), the town provides an ideal location for boating, fishing, kayaking and other water sports. It also boasts a range of native flora and fauna and a number of funky frog sculptures are scattered around town. Placed between scenic wetlands and the sunburnt outback, Balranald is a unique combination giving you the best of both worlds.
How to apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible Being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per section 14 of the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with health professionals about clinical matters (within the scope of the role) and to provide sensitive customer service to a diverse range of clients. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Basic communication technology skills, including the ability to accurately document patient transport episodes in the electronic medical record. An understanding of Primary Health Care. Physically capable of transferring patients, loading, unloading and manoeuvring patients on and off stretchers or wheelchairs, in line with Work Health and Safety legislation and policy. Current First Aid Cardiopulmonary certificates and BLS (or willingness to obtain) as minimum qualifications, with the ability to successfully complete further mandatory and refresher training as required. Current licence to drive in NSW with a proven safe driving record, verified by a Roads and Maritime Services licence summary prepared within the month prior to applying for the position.
