This excellent opportunity is part-time working 4 days per week and located in Glebe, NSW, therefore the successful candidate will be regionally based.

What You'll Be Doing: Create and lead engagement strategies that speak directly to our people's needs and strengths.Run awareness and promotion activities that make the GHS program accessible and known in every corner of our community.Build and nurture strong relationships with Elders, community leaders, and organisations.Develop communication tools that connect with our culture and our way of life.Work with our team to ensure we're ready to meet the needs of our community.Why This Role Matters: Your role will be the bridge between the GHS program and the people who need it most. If you've worked in community engagement, especially in health, this could be the perfect role for you. We're after:
Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagement, with a focus on health.A genuine passion for improving health outcomes for our communities.Happy to travel - you must have your own vehicle and driving license (you will be reimbursed).An understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.Why Diabetes Australia?
