An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Aboriginal Recovery Engagement Officer to join the Broome Mental Health Team, at the Broome Community Recovery Centre. Position Profile Part of the Kimberley Mental Health and Drug Service (KMHDS), the Broome Community Recovery Centre (BCRC) delivers recovery based programmes in Broome, for people with lived experience of mental health challenges, and their carers and families. BCRC also works to deliver Recovery based education and development opportunities to services and the wider community. BCRC incorporates personal Recovery principles of inclusion, connectedness, hope and optimism in all operations, programmes and activities. The Aboriginal Recovery Engagement Officer is a vital part of the BCRC team. They provide cultural leadership and expertise to those who deliver programmes at the Broome Community Recovery Centre, including facilitators from external community agencies. The role is responsible for coordinating, designing, and delivering Recovery programmes and education, and supports the Recovery Centre coordinator, assisting with centre administration, reporting and evaluation.
