AMSANT is the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the Northern Territory and advocates for equity in health, focusing on supporting the provision of high quality comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal communities.

Salary packaging up to $15,899.94 pa. Employer Superannuation contribution.
6 weeks annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading Personal/carer's leave up to 15 days per year.
10 Days per year Study leave can be negotiated.

Role Description:
To provide high-level expertise to the NT Aboriginal PHC (Primary Health Care) sector (both Aboriginal community controlled and NT Government) in the implementation of the NT CQI Strategy.
Provide interpretation and analysis of PHC services KPIs to support CQI activities and priorities, working with relevant stakeholders.
Support strategic quality improvement responses to address concerns.
Deliver training and ongoing support to PHC services in CQI skills, tools, and processes to strengthen their capacity to undertake CQI to address local priorities for improvement.

Provide training, support, and ongoing mentoring to a network of CQI Facilitators, who hold senior nursing positions or are professional staff with senior management/Aboriginal health experience.
The facilitators are located in Aboriginal PHC services across the NT.
The Lead CQI Program Coordinator and the CQI Program Coordinator will work closely together and will be part of a broader AMSANT Health Systems Team.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate NT CQI Strategy implementation (ACCHS or NT Government) and follow the lead of the Lead CQI Program Coordinator.
Prepare, coordinate, and deliver regional and NT wide training, orientation, and ongoing mentoring in CQI processes and tools for clinicians, health service staff and CQI facilitators.
Support and mentor CQI Facilitators, health centre staff and management in developing and implementing CQI plans at local health service and regional levels in primary health care services.
Plan, coordinate and deliver professional development activities for facilitators and the annual NT CQI collaborative.
Provide high level analysis of the NTAHKPIs and other data from a NT wide perspective and at the local level to identify areas of improvement.
Be guided by the Program Logic for the NT CQI Strategy for primary health care in the NT.
Actively engage external stakeholders including academic institutions, accreditation standards peak bodies and other professional organisations to further develop clinical CQI support in the region.
Provide secretarial support as needed to the NT CQI Steering Committee and its activities.
Selection Requirements (Qualifications & Attributes)
ESSENTIAL
AHPRA registered clinician with significant experience in health care delivery and/or substantial health care management experience in primary health care.
Applied knowledge in clinical CQI, change management and knowledge of CQI systems used in Aboriginal PHC.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills including the capacity to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people and organisations and to work under Aboriginal management.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience in interpretation and analysis of data to inform improvement activities in PHC services.
Ability to motivate and lead staff in a high pressure culturally diverse environment.
Proven ability to work effectively within a team and with minimal supervision to meet deadlines while effectively prioritising workloads.
DESIRABLE
Experience and/or qualifications in professional training.
Previous experience working in Aboriginal primary health care in the NT.
Awareness of the history and role of Aboriginal community-controlled health organisations and an understanding of the Aboriginal primary health care system in the NT.
