What you'll be doing The Aboriginal Health Practitioner provides flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive antenatal and postnatal (up to 6 weeks) support to improve the birthing experiences and birthing outcomes experienced by Aboriginal women and their families in Western Sydney. The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will provide a range of direct clinical services as defined by the agreed Scope of Practice and primary healthcare functions for the community in which they work. Essential Requirements Qualification: Certificate IV in Aboriginal Health Care (Practice). Registration: Current Registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal health practitioner. Active involvement in the local Aboriginal community, with demonstrated understanding and commitment to improving the health issues impacting on Aboriginal communities. Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative and take a lead role in initiating and carrying out community screening activities.
