Aboriginal Health Practitioners Class 2 (Remuneration Package Range $88,034 - $112,723) Top End Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Darwin Fixed vacancy for 6 months Provide clinically responsive and culturally safe healthcare practice through prevention, early detection, early intervention, and treatment of illness within a defined scope of practice and as a member of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Access Team, Top End Mental Health Services.
This is an experienced practitioner role and requires the occupant to operate at an independent level as an emerging specialist Aboriginal Health Practitioner within the AOD Access Team in the provision of planning and implementation of cultural care for Aboriginal clients experiencing withdrawal from AOD.
This role will require the applicant to provide assistance with referrals to rehab facilities, assistance with social needs, brief intervention, and cultural based education or advice to both staff and clients.
