Competitive salaries, Generous salary packaging Six (6) weeks' annual leave Superannuation A strong commitment to Professional Development Access to the Congress health services for you and your family at no cost District allowance and Remote Benefits Role Description The Aboriginal Family Support Worker provides culturally safe case management advocacy, liaison, support, and referral services to children aged 8 to 17 years old, and their families, referred to Congress' Back on Track (BoT) Program. The program has a focus on working with young people and their families on criminal diversion, restorative justice, reengagement with education and training, and alternatives to youth detention. The position works collaboratively with Social Workers and a youth-focused Psychologist under a bi-cultural pair model.

To be considered for this position, you will require: Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community Qualification (Cert III or above) and experience in one or more of the following areas – family support, early childhood, education, or health or working towards qualification Knowledge of the local Aboriginal community with an ability to engage with a diversity of Aboriginal families across different language groups.
