Community Solutions are seeking candidates that are interested in commencing an Engineering Apprenticeship (Sheetmetal) based in Townsville.
This full-time opportunity is for candidates who have the dedication to complete a 4-year apprenticeship (MEM31922) with a large company that provides various services across air conditioning, cooling systems, electrical, and sheet metal custom ducting.
The apprenticeship will include but not be limited to:
Development and fabrication of structural items.
Construction and repair of metal products.
Safe use of measuring equipment, hand tools, welding & cutting equipment, metal forming & shaping machines, grinders, etc.
Work from detailed drawings.
Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
About You:
Be committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship.
Able to travel to and from work – Manual Driver's Licence preferred.
Be able to work away from home at times.
Work Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm.
Hold a White Card (or willing to obtain).
Hold a Working At Heights (or willing to obtain).
Certificate I or II in Engineering is highly regarded.
Can use initiative within the workplace.
High attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual.
Be motivated to work in the engineering/fabrication industry.

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland.
We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn.
Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
