Roster: 8:6 Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined individual to join the Western Hub Aboriginal Development Team.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing and sustaining our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce at the Western Hub, including attracting, retaining, and developing team members whilst providing culturally informed support to leaders and key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Aboriginal Development Superintendent, the Coordinator's primary focus and responsibility is to ensure the long-term success, support and case management of candidates from Fortescue's VTEC and First Nations programs as well as developing and delivering high quality vocational training.
The Coordinator will apply their excellent interpersonal and communication skills proactively, working with trainees to positively influence their behaviours and attitudes.
The right candidate will possess the ability to work across several teams, leaders and locations as required, be flexible and adaptable to different environments, and have excellent knowledge and experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Contribution and continued commitment to the ongoing development and delivery of Aboriginal Development training and programs.
Develop and deliver quality initiatives that produce real outcomes for Aboriginal team members while maintaining clear and concise records Collaboratively work with site teams to deliver effective programs across Operations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while effectively engaging with Operational leaders and community members to provide support in addressing cultural barriers and aligning employment success.
Develop effective strategies to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce resilience and reliability.
Qualifications and Experience Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong understanding of Fortescue's Values, Life Saving Choices and culture.
Confidence with technology including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
Demonstrated experience in program management and/or business administration within a community development or other relevant field.
Ability to develop and support personal and professional growth and wellbeing Strong communicator with the ability to influence, manage conflict, and facilitate difficult conversations in a professional, culturally appropriate, and respectful manner.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Aboriginal cultural values.
