About your opportunity: This is an identified position - Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. As a member of the Cultural Assessment and Liaison Team (CALT), Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment Engagement Services (A and TSI WAES) Program Area, you will participate in and contribute to the delivery of a culturally sensitive and appropriate mental health care service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients who access the Child and Youth Mental Health Service Team. All employees of the Mental Health Service may be required to work in other areas of the service. What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $117,817 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $2878.20 to $3958.00 p.f. (HWF3) Annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts. Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme: Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply). Role Requirements: Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.1 to HWF3.5 requires: Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health, or Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, or Certificate IV in Mental Health, or Certificate IV in Alcohol and other Drugs. Appointment, and future increment progression, between pay points HWF3.2 to HWF3.7, or HWF3.8 (limited to employees who meet the requirements of HED 04/23) requires: Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or Diploma of Mental Health, or Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs. Blue Card Checks required. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
