Job SummaryThis permanent part-time position provides culturally appropriate support and mentoring to Aboriginal Allied Health School Based trainees. The role aims to ensure students remain engaged in the program to achieve educational outcomes through problem-solving, collaboration, and liaison with both allied health clinicians and the Aboriginal Health Unit team.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality allied health oversight of trainees consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures, and standards.Support ongoing expansion of the program and provide culturally appropriate advice and education to enhance service delivery.Collaborate with allied health clinicians and the Aboriginal Health Unit team to ensure students remain engaged in the program.RequirementsQualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and registration requirements as required by the Award.Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in an allied health discipline and demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Working with UsNSW Health is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our community.
